Neonatal Hemodynamics
- May 18 - 20, 2023
- Eurostars Oporto Hotel, Porto, Portugal
Objectives
IPOKRaTES seminars provide high quality postgraduate education which enables professionals to keep abreast of the most recent developments and offer participants the opportunity to discuss clinical problems or scientific issues personally with international experts.
The overarching aim is to assist the audience in optimizing clinical care for newborn infants with cardiovascular compromise. Although cases with structural malformations of the heart will be included, the focus is on infants with normal anatomy.
1. Case-based teaching is applied to train participants to solve practical problems using cognitive flexibility.
2. Problem-based teaching is applied to improve understanding of the mechanisms of disease processes (pathophysiology) and the possible effects of interventions.
3. Lectures are used to present topics in physiology, pathophysiology as well as methodology.
Given the small audience size, questions and comments are welcome at all times, and we hope for a highly interactive course.
